Thanks to a grant from Boston Mountain Solid Waste District, the City of Fayetteville is excited to offer compost bins at 50% off to the first 150 Fayetteville Residents. The first 250 residents will also receive a FREE composting education dial and a FREE kitchen pail (limit 1 per household.)  Order yours today, this online offer ends May 27th, and all orders will be available for pick up on Saturday June 8th.

Why Compost?

The City of Fayetteville is excited to be offering this backyard composter sale for Fayetteville residents, along with educational support. The goal of this program is to divert food scraps from the waste stream and raise awareness regarding the benefits of composting.

In 2017 the City of Fayetteville passed a resolution to get Fayetteville on a path to 40% waste diversion by 2027. Consumer waste reduction, recycling, and composting are all key steps towards meeting this goal. Thanks to a grant from Boston Mountain Solid Waste District, the City of Fayetteville is making available for purchase discounted backyard composting bins. This will help residents reduce waste, protect the environment, and grow healthy plants.

Why Use a Rain Barrel?

There are several environmental benefits associated with rain barrels. Foremost, rain barrels reduce storm water runoff, this is water that does not soak in to the ground and can transport many pollutants to our local waterways. By using harvested rainwater for watering lawns, gardens, potted plants and for washing off patio furniture and tools, rain barrels conserve water. From a gardening perspective, the natural nutrients in rain water make it far better than tap water, which has chlorine and fluoride in it. With a rain barrel, gardeners can minimize or eliminate their use of chemical fertilizers

Pick-Up Time & Location

Your order will be ready for pick-up between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM Saturday June, 8th.

 The City of Fayetteville does not make any warranty or representation, expressed or implied, regarding the compost bins offered for sale by BrandBuilders, LLC. Purchasers must direct any questions, claims or disputes regarding their purchase to BrandBuilders, LLC. Purchases that are not picked up at the scheduled pick-up date may be donated and used for educational purposes.

Bin pickup will be setup in the transportation parkinglot across from the 15th street recycling drop-off center.
